Our youth programs and resource centers provide a safe space for children and young people to reach their potential as students and community members. Neighborhood House program specialists and tutors work with 6 to 18 year olds through after-school mentoring, college-readiness support, and engagement in STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities. We also work with young adults aged 14 to 21 who have left the traditional school system to set and achieve educational and career goals.

STUDIO
Located in the High Point public housing community, STUDIO engages youth in middle and high school in STEM and arts education and career pathways. The STUDIO program is delivered through empowerment and exciting projects, leading youth to gain a stronger sense of self, their culture, and community. Youth also have access to college and career readiness support through support from University of Washington mentors.

Project SCOPE
Project SCOPE is designed for youth who have left the traditional classroom. Located in Kent, WA, this program helps youth set and achieve educational and career goals. We identify the barriers together and then provide support services, such as food access aid and transportation to school. Youth receive mentoring support to complete secondary and post-secondary education. Staff partner with schools, re-engagement centers, and various GED programs. Based on their skills and career interests, youth gain job-readiness skills through paid internships with our employer partners.

Family Resource Center
Our Family Resource Center engages families in the High Point public housing community, encouraging connections and celebrations of the diverse cultures of the community. Programs from community partners and guest presenters assist families navigate complex institutional systems and become successful advocates for their children.

Ready to Work
This program is designed for residents of City of Seattle who face barriers to learning English and gaining employment. Ready to Work combines English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes (levels 3-4) with digital literacy instruction, job search coaching, and case management to help English language learners gain job readiness skills and take steps toward economic empowerment. This program is operated out of Neighborhood House High Point.
