Early Head Start Virtual Home Visiting

for children Birth to Age 3 and Pregnant Moms

  • Weekly Virtual Visits: Families will have a weekly opportunity to connect via phone or video for 90 minutes with a home visitor or families can choose several shorter connections throughout the week.
  • Weekly Virtual Playgroups: Socialization experiences will be group sessions where children can see other children, sing songs, play games, in a fun and interactive online environment.
  • Weekly Communications: Families will receive a newsletter with links to videos & age appropriate learning resources tailored to individual goals.
  • Learning Resources: Families will receive loaned tablets to support virtual learning, delivered to their home by mail to use throughout the program year.
  • Monthly Virtual Parent Meetings & Trainings: Families will be invited to monthly parent meetings and trainings to provide feedback, connect with other families and learn together.

ParentChild+Virtual Home Visiting

for children age 16-32 months

  • Weekly Virtual Visits: Families will have two opportunities per week to connect via phone or video for 30 minutes each with a home visitor.
  • Weekly Virtual Playgroups: Socialization experiences will be group sessions where children can see other children, sing songs, play games, in a fun and interactive online environment.
  • Weekly Communications: Families will receive a text or email with links to videos & age appropriate learning resources tailored to individual goals.
  • Learning Resources: Families will receive loaned tablets delivered to their home by mail to use throughout the program year.

for children ages 3-5

  • Daily Virtual Classes: Each week, 12 interactive learning sessions in a virtual classroom of peers and teachers (approximately 30 minutes each) will be offered.
  • Weekly Virtual Visits: Families will have a weekly opportunity to connect via phone or video for approximately 30 minutes with teaching staff.
  • Weekly Communications: Families will receive a newsletter with links to videos & age appropriate learning resources tailored to individual goals.
  • Learning Resources: Families will receive loaned tablets to support virtual learning, delivered to their home by mail to use throughout the program year.

How much does the program cost?

There is no cost for the program for all families that meet the age, income, and service area requirements.

How do I apply?

To apply, please submit an online application and submit the required supporting documents.

What documents do I need to submit?

Proof of age, income, and residency.

What documents can I submit for proof of age?

Child’s birth certificate, passport, I-94, green card or immigration registration.

What documents can I submit for income?

The family’s income for the past 12 months, such as W2, 1040 tax return, 12 months of pay stubs, TANF or SSI letter, unemployment paper, or letter from current employer.

What documents can I submit for residency?

Utility bill, rental agreement, photo ID with current living address.

Am I still eligible for the program if I earn above the income guidelines?

Yes, but there may be a longer wait time as there are limited spots available.

Are there in-person learning options available?

We are currently not offering any in-person learning options to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We hope to be able to offer in-person learning in the future.
